Tom Hanks and eBay Mount Charity Auction to Support Lifeline Energy

Tom Hanks, our US ambassador, graciously autographed 10 Lifeline radios for auction on eBay, which raised more than $13,000 in support of Lifeline Energy.

The first radio, which Tom Hanks signed on-camera in a video he made for the event, was auctioned for more than $2,500. Watch the video below to see Tom talk about our work in Africa. Almost 10,000 African children and adults will directly benefit from the auction proceeds, enabling them to access vital radio information and education that can improve their lives.
