Accounts and Administration Volunteer

If you would like to develop your skills or learn new ones and can commit to 2 days per week we would like to hear from you.

We are seeking support in accounts and administration. Training will be given.

This position is voluntary (unpaid) and London travel and lunch will be paid.

Internship programme

Interning in the offices of Lifeline Energy is an invaluable experience and is an ideal way to get first hand knowledge of working in the development sector.

We are looking for a talented intern who can assist with online marketing, fundraising and project work. You will be organised, hardworking, have excellent administration experience and possess strong writing skills. Not only will you help with creating a dynamic, exciting presence on the web, you will also manage social networking applications, such as expanding marketing efforts on Twitter and blogs. You will also maintain correspondence with donors and conduct fundraising research. In addition, you will support project activities by assisting with project planning and implementation.

The intern opportunity will be for a minimum of 6-9 months, working 15-20 hours a week.

More specific activities may include, and are not limited to:

(1) Helping streamline Twitter/Facebook, effectively
(2) Assisting with Search Engine Optimisation
(3) Researching small grants and fundraising opportunities
(4) Corresponding with donors and partner organisations
(5) Managing donation administration process
(6) Maintaining database – Salesforce
(7) Writing project reports and preparing budgets
(8) Maintaining accurate project records

Experience in the non profit sector is desirable but not essential. Lunch and public transport expenses (within London) will be covered.
