Tackling Energy Poverty

Our work in Nigeria

Peace remains fragile amongst Nigeria’s vast population, despite some improvements in political stability following democratic elections and the resulting gains in education and media freedom. The economy has benefited from rising oil prices but this industry has also fuelled violence and corruption, particularly in the Niger Delta, while various infrastructural problems continue to hinder foreign investment. For the vast majority of Nigerians, life continues to be extremely difficult.
