Niger

Rated by the United Nations as one of the world’s least-developed and poorest nations, Niger has only a very basic health system to cope with the widespread disease. Despite ongoing problems, greater political stability and increased media freedom have allowed several independent radio stations to form, bringing increased means of communication in a country were literacy rates are startling low.
