Tackling Energy Poverty

Zambia

Despite economic growth and increased school enrolment, Zambia still suffers from greater poverty. Although antiretroviral treatment now reaches thousands of sufferers, HIV/AIDS still is a major problem and there is a need for mass media campaigns to encourage people to be tested. Increased media freedom has paved the way for the formation of several new independent radio stations in Zambia, allowing vital information to reach struggling communities.
