
About Us / Our Management Team
As Chief Executive, Kristine develops and implements Lifeline Energy's strategy. She fosters relationships with national ministries, international donors, multilateral agencies and corporations. Unlike many Chief Executives, Kristine also spends a great deal of time in the field working with the people who most need assistance. Kristine conceived the idea the idea of the Lifeline radio and worked with groups of orphaned children in three countries to refine the radio’s design features. Her innovative work with the Lifeline radio led her to be honoured with Silicon Valley’s prestigious James C. Morgan Global Humanitarian Award and the TIME magazine named her as a Hero of the Environment. She is a fellow of the Schwab Foundation for Outstanding Social Entrepreneurship.
Bhavna manages the Foundation’s digital communication activities which includes project managing the development of the website, overseeing our social media networks, leading internet based fundraising and producing Lifeline Energy's videos. Bhavna has an MA in Media and BA Hons in Sociology and Communications from Goldsmiths College. She has extensive experience in working in the museum and cultural arts sector, where she has previously project managed large fundraising campaigns. Bhavna has also directed documentaries and short films, which have won awards at various film festivals.
Irena is our Head of Finance and Administration in London and manages the finance team. She brings experience and has a post graduate qualification in Charity Finance and Management as well as a BA Hons in Business Studies and Third World Studies from Middlesex University to our finance team. Irena has worked in the public, private and charity sectors, including six years in the field of human rights and refugees sector
Michelle joined Lifeline Energy in 2000 and has worked in the international humanitarian sector for 18 years. Areas of speciality include community outreach, media relations, building strategic alliances and developing comprehensive communication strategies. Prior to joining Lifeline Energy, Michelle served as a communications officer for former U.S President Jimmy Carter at the Carter Center.
Chhavi manages implementation of Lifeline Energy projects including supplier relationships, logistics, field training, distribution and project evaluation. Chhavi holds an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and brings a background in children’s education to our Lifeline radio projects in Africa. With the Cambodian Child Protection and Saving Organisation in Phnom Penh, she contributed to the development of a children’s literacy and life skills programme. She also has worked with the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology in India, and is fluent in Hindi and French.
