Our first-generation foot-powered energy source, the Weza Generator – which means ‘power’ in Swahili – provided up to 12 volts of power for charging cell phones, lights, and other low energy devices.
We will use this technology as a launching platform for our lighting efforts in Africa. Because it is portable, easy to use, and sustainable, the Weza technology can be transferred to income-generation projects that supply clean energy to communities without electricity.
