Tom Hanks is Lifeline Energy’s ambassador in the United States – and he’s done more than anyone to raise funds for us to continue our work, helping us provide solar radios and Lifeplayers to vulnerable communities in Africa.
Tom’s been our Ambassador since 2003. He’s been the primary funder behind the development of our Prime radio, our Lifeplayer and our solar and wind-up Lifelight. He’s hosted auctions for us on eBay; and now he’s donated a special typewriter from his personal collection.
Tom is an avid collector of vintage manual typewriters – and he’s donating a signed copy of a Remington Rand. The winner will receive the typewriter together with a personal letter from Tom, written on this very machine.
